Education

Our goal is to make sure drivers have the tools they need to stay safe on the roads, protect their loved ones by reporting negligent driving, and avoid putting themselves in dangerous situations. We believe this can be achieved through putting our voices out. STAND currently has a Facebook page with 4,709 followers that shares intense and emotional PSA’s, updates on legislation changes, reminders and safe driving tips on every holiday, links to articles and videos that pertain to distracted driving, and more. STAND has hosted presentations in schools, workplaces as well as driving schools which are both educational, and heart-wrenching. Hearing Hannah’s closest friends and relatives speaking the truth about what it’s like to lose a loved-one to reckless driving, is essential to force drivers to think twice before texting, drinking, racing, or being careless behind the wheel. STAND also has taken part in TV and radio interviews to share Hannah’s story, and actively encourage employers to share her story and safe driving material in their meetings and safety moments. Lastly STAND creates beautiful awareness items such as car magnets, car stickers, candles, and clothing to remind people on the roads and in their home that no matter where you are going, someone is waiting for you to return home safe again.
